Career Centers of Texas provides assistance to eligible graduates in obtaining employment and provides classes, workshops and advising sessions that teach and guide them through the process of securing and maintaining employment.

Diploma (El Paso)
The objective of the Electrical Technician program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for an entry-level position as an electrical technician. This program provides instruction in the basic fundamentals of electricity and its practical applications; instructs students in direct-current and alternating-current circuitry; explores residential, commercial, and industrial wiring, along with specialized areas such as motors and motor-control circuits, transformer installations, and services requirements; and provides instruction on the National Electrical Code and its application to safe electrical installations. Students may use their skills in entry-level positions as electrical technicians on new construction projects, on additions for restoration sites, or may secure commercial or industrial maintenance positions.
Graduates of the program may utilize their skills to find entry-level employment as electrical technicians in various companies to include: building constructions and design, general building construction, commercial and residential construction, construction equipment and supplies, hobby and model construction supplies, lake and pond maintenance, paving contractors and construction, and swimming pool contractors.
The length of the Electrical Technician program for day students is 900 clock hours over a period of 36 weeks, 900 clock hours over a period of 45 weeks for afternoon students, and 900 clock hours over a period of 57 weeks for night students. All students must complete the program with 47.0 semester credit hours. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma.
This program is designed to lead to entry-level employment in the field, or to jobs in related fields, the specific job titles of which may not be specified in the program title. Although the School will assist the student with job placement, finding a job is the ultimate responsibility of the student. The School does not guarantee that any student will be placed in any particular job, or at all.
